Pulau Aman (Peacefull island) was located on Latitude: 5° 16′ 0 N, Longitude: 100° 24′ 0 E, in Pulau Pinang. Pulau Aman is a malay fishing village famously known as a favorites fishing spot. It’s well matched its name because this island was very calm and peace. It was truly rural area life there.

It’s not difficult to reach there, please click here. By using ferry boat managed by local, fees only Rm6 (2ways;go and return) for adult passenger (for children I think its RM 4, if I am not mistaken). First you need to drive to Batu Kawan and follow signboard to Pulau Aman Jetty (easy route to go there), then parked your vehicle for about RM 2 per entry (safe for parking due have member who looks over our vehicle). Here is the most important thing that you have to know before you can go there which is the ferry only operate from 10am until 6pm (last boat from Pulau Aman to mainland) and 7pm last boat from Bukit Tambun jetty and not returning back.

The jetty area at mainland is suitable for camping place for family.

I go there and wait for about 30min before the ferry start journey to Pulau Aman. Ticket fees you only paid after you reached Pulau Aman, one-shot paid 2ways (move to and fro) ticket.

About 20~30min travel, then I reached Pulau Aman. First thing to do is eating.

The famous eating spot here is Pulau Aman’s Floating restaurant (Restoren terapung). Restoren terapung here served only shrimp based foods such as shrimp noodle, shrimp fried rice etc. Not many choices of food here. My recommendation to them is they should serve various kinds of foods especially seafood-based foods to attract tourist more to their places. This restaurant was located just beside the fisherman landing jetty and you can buy seafood from that jetty and asked the restaurant to cooked for you (not much choices also). I ordered Shrimp noodle & Shrimp fried rice and drink Iced Tea & Coconut Juice.

The taste for their food is okay but not that outstanding. The prices for my foods, I’m not quite well remembered but total is RM17. You can try it, still worth your money.

However I believed due to limitation of ferry boat, I’m not going to stay there. But it could be adventurous for some people.

Actually,teluk tempoyak is a village name that was located near to bayan lepas, penang. There are 2 restaurants there where you can choose (as far as i know). The first one is owned by the Association of Fisherman Teluk tempoyak(persatuan nelayan teluk tempoyak) while the other one i will tell you on the next post. The association built a chalet on the sea and it restaurant just next to it (on the beach).It was totally managed by the villagers there where they one by one interchange shift to managed the place. The restaurant not only meant for tourists that rent their chalet, but the outsider also invited to taste their food.

It was opened daily from 1030hrs until 0200hrs.In term of tables arrangement & how they served was good. They have 3 choices of booklets menu, written in Bahasa Malaysia, English & Chinese. So it’s not going to be difficult to order foods.

It also has a good space for those who want to arrange wedding ceremony there plus with other basic facilities such as toilet & mosque. However, the beaches there seem to be no so clean so it’s not encouraged swimming there.

Enough with other and now it’s time for food review. First are their prices that are not to cheap but I think it’s affordable. You judge!

3) Siakap = Lates calcarifer. 28

4) Sotong = Squid 4.5/100g

5) Udang = Shrimp 10/100g

and many others. Here also they have steamboat as their menu, so it’s quite interesting place to eat. I ordered vegetable soup, chili pepper’s crab (ketam masak cili), baked’s lates calcrifer (ikan siakap baker) watermelon and apple juice.

The vegetable soup taste was quite good but the vegetable was not quite well cooked yet (around 30% only) it’s good if it was cooked around 50%. While for chili pepper’s crab and ikan siakap bakar, the sauce was tasty but very hot and spicy. My tongue cannot stand very hot and spicy food so it took time for me to finish all of my foods. Many people wonders why suddenly wameza.com gone. reasons is simple,the hosting owner is gone,so wameza.com also gone.damm! wameza.com need to start all over again due to lost of previous precious write.its not easy to start back because i’m already working right now and being a production member in the chemical plant is not that easy, always have to worked overtime.

but wameza.com have managed to comeback and will continue to write after this.hopefully my previous problem will not arise again.due to current situation,maybe during weekend only i managed to update my blog and hopefully i can bring some entertainment to you all.
