Movie plot that i remembered:
Redline begins with a $1 million bet between mob boss Michael (Angus Macfadyen) and film producer Jerry Brecken (Tim Matheson). This bet is about driving from Los Angeles, CA to Las Vegas, NV in under 1 and 45 minutes at night time. Jason (Jesse Johnson) who is Michael Driver drove Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren to win this bet. He turn off the light and use night-vision goggles to minimize police detection because he’s driving over 200 mph. Jason manages to arrive at Brecken’s hotel room seconds before the time limit and Michael win the bet.
The next day, music producer Infamous (Eddie Griffin) and his group arrive at a garage to pick up his Ford GT. There, he meets Natasha Martin (Nadia Bjorlin, very beautiful girls), who owns that garage. She is a professional race car driver and lead singer for her band. She invited Infamous to test the cars and he got impressed and afraid of her driving. Infamous invited her to be his driver but she refused because she is haunted by memories of her father’s death at a NASCAR race. Infamous still want Natasha to be his driver and he use a tactic to invites Natasha and his group to perform a show during race car tournament.
Meanwhile, on the other side, Carlo (Nathan Phillips) has just returned from a tour of duty in Iraq. He meets up with his brother Jason while fighting a group of Asian gang members who want to steal Jason’s Ferrari F430 Spider. Carlo is not happy that Jason is living with their uncle Michael.
Carlo first meets Natasha at a party in Las Vegas, where he saves her from a group of drunk partygoers harassing her. In the middle of the fight, Carlo and Jason managed to get out from the party in a Lamborghini Murciélago Roadster, while the thugs chase after them using a Ferrari 612 Scaglietti. The two brothers lose the thugs by speeding through the underside of a truck trailer, while the thugs fail to get through underside the trailer and crash.
A high-stakes race event is being held Las Vegas, with Michael, Brecken, Infamous and Chinese businessman Marcus Cheng (Michael Hagiwara) placing their bets over who has the better car. Infamous still want Natasha to drive his car and his driver fake his injury, then Infamous offer Natasha to drove his car. She refused at first but then agrees to drive after Infamous offer her $300,000 and a recording contract. Natasha performs with her band and it attracts the attention of Michael. During race, Michael faces Infamous. Michael place 4 platinum bars on the bet and since Infamous cannot leveled the amount that Michael tabled, he then put Natasha on the bet since Michael want Natasha.
Natasha driving a SLR takes on Jason driving Lamborghini Diablo. As they approach the finish line, Natasha is ahead of Jason, but Jason used Nitrous system to passed Natasha. Because of the excessive speed, the Diablo loses downforce, flies and flips in air before crashing down upside at the finish line. Diablo bursts into flames, killing Jason instantly. Natasha wants to avoid crash with Jason, she then crashes on a barrier and is knocked unconscious. Michael’s henchmen, dressed as paramedics, place Natasha in an ambulance and speed off.
Natasha wakes up in Michael’s mansion, realizing that she is now his property. Carlo then meets up with some old military friends and picks up some ammunition and gear before riding a Ducati 999 towards Michael’s mansion and Carlo successfully rescues Natasha. However, Michael has his henchmen kidnap her mother and forced her to drive for him at the next race.
In the final race, Michael, Brecken, Infamous and Cheng place their bets for a combined of $100 million. Before race, Natasha got scared with some of the driver is a driver that made her father killed during Nascar. The race got started and some time after that, Infamous and Cheng are eliminated from the race after their cars (SLR,Porsche Carrera GT, respectively) are involved in separate crashes. Natasha’s driving Michael’s Enzo Ferrari and leading Brecken’s Saleen S7. During race, Carlo go and saves Natasha family then he called Natasha notifying her mother and the other is rescued already, she then slam the brakes hard, stopping the Enzo inches away from the finish line and giving the S7 the win.
With no money left, Michael is given a last ride from the crime organization he owes money to. Brecken gives Natasha a recording contract as a way of thanking Natasha for handing his driver the victory. The film ends with Natasha (in the Koenigsegg) and Carlo (in the Enzo) racing each other before being chased by the police on the freeway.
